"No one has greater love than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13.
When he stands in God himself and only president of its existence, experiencing a lack of purpose and an emptiness that is filled by rebelling against God, which denies in his delusion. Therefore provides no values, no joy, or serenity, as a man or woman can only give what are their own and that of which is replete. If a human being is full of hate, hatred and will transpire all that will touch your foul odor. If a man is happy and grateful, will make their way and the other in gratitude and be pleased for themselves and others.

Saramago and the society it represents shudder at the thought of God "because whoever does evil hates the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved" Jn.3: 20. However, for him and for all is the news: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life" Jn. 3:16.
We must not despise the writer and those like him have atrophied image of God, rather, with mercy and compassion, inviting them to repentance and guide you to the knowledge of a God who is defending the fatherless and the widow, the poor and ill. Let us show that the "gospel according Saramago" has absolutely no relation to the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.
