Last weekend I went to see "The king's speech." I had heard good reviews, Firth nominated for an Oscar, the presence of Bonham Carter ... everything pointed to that would be a good choice. And it was.
I'm not saying it's the movie that I liked in life but left with a pleasant feeling of cinema and, given the high expectations I had, is somewhat in his favor.
Not a great expert, dare I say it's flawless, perhaps a tad slow at first, but only the first fifteen minutes.
posts And say, what I liked least was the treatment given to the characters of the king's brother, David, as Wallis Simpson. Especially David, is depicted as a kind of puppet vivant that contradicts the romantic notion that I've always had this character who abdicated the throne of love for a divorcee. Having subsequently read online something about this couple, you may view the film gives us is not so far from reality and seems much more than my idealized view, so you may need to delete one of the things that as I said, I liked less. Even so, and I retract it, I keep seeing a trend somewhat Manichaean, in my opinion, the characters are described in a little goal for you to fall very well or very badly to like them, without remain indifferent.
regard to key players, my oscar goes to Colin Firth! I loved her in Bridget Jones (although here the interpretation given around 20,000) and still loved it. I wish my English would have allowed me to see the original version!
And Helena Bonham Carter, who plays the wife of Colin, is the queen mother we all know, most correct. We have found that their hair combed left (Tim Burton but I also like I do not know the reason why he likes that everyone thinks that his wife has a mop over his head) and say dumb as a curiosity in the film only drink tea and that I had always heard that gave the gin. Weigh the negative comments and positive, the last weigh much more and yet, if I were to rate, would put a remarkable high, falling short of outstanding even being aware that what I liked is not enough to lower a couple of points so that there is some anything but just convinced me I do not know what it is. If ever I hear, I'll have to edit this entry.
